What is Grip Studs® Model 1610 (Snowmobile Track Studs)?

Model 1610 is a lightweight screw-in traction stud built with a tungsten carbide core and patented wide-auger threads, designed for snowmobile tracks and aftermarket ATV and UTV track systems that need better control on ice and packed snow.

How do they stay secure in the track?

The wide-auger thread bites into the rubber to increase surface contact and holding power, keeping the studs in place without glue or adhesives.

What types of tracks can they be used on?

Model 1610 works with:
• Snowmobile tracks
• Aftermarket ATV and UTV track systems
• Paddle or stud posts with at least 12 mm x 12 mm of surface area

Always measure your track's paddle or stud post width before ordering . Model 1610 needs at least 12 mm x 12 mm surface area to seat properly.

How many studs should I install?

Per track: 100–150 studs

Why choose the Model 1610?

A pack of 150 weighs about ¾ of a pound, far lighter than bolt-through ice picks, while its 5 mm prominence and 18 mm penetration hold traction on icy trails and packed snow. The #3200 tool handles both installation and removal.

Installation notes

Easy installation with a variable-speed drill; no pre-drilling required. Do not use impact tools.
• 100 and 150 packs include an installation tool (#3200)
• 1000-count bulk boxes do not include an installation tool; tool can be purchased separately

Important information

• Check local regulations regarding stud use
• Studs may damage hard surfaces if used improperly
• Confirm your track's paddle or stud post width (min. 12 mm x 12 mm) before installing
