What is Grip Studs® Model 1500 (Truck Tire Studs)?
Model 1500 is a heavy-duty screw-in traction stud built with a solid tungsten-carbide core. The stud yields a 4.00 mm long tungsten-carbide tip and 13.5 mm penetration, making it a reliable choice for trucks, UTVs, ATVs, and off-road tires that need strong traction on ice, packed snow, mud, and frozen terrain.
How does it stay secure in the tire?
The wide-auger thread bites deep into the rubber to increase surface contact and ensure strong retention. This design keeps the studs firmly in place without the need for glue or adhesives.
What type of tires can it be used on?
Model 1500 works with tires that have sufficient tread depth to accommodate its 13.5 mm penetration—including light-truck tires, UTV/ATV tires, deep-lug all-terrain tires, and winter-specific off-road tires.
How many studs should I install?
Grip Studs® recommends 50–75 studs per tire, depending on the traction level and terrain conditions you expect.
