What is Grip Studs® Model 1100 (Studs for Motorcycles)?
Model 1100 is a premium screw-in traction stud designed for motorcycles—street, dual-sport, enduro, and adventure bikes. Built with a tungsten-carbide core and durable wide-auger threads, it provides reliable traction for winter, icy, and unpredictable riding conditions.
How does it stay secure in the tire?
The wide-auger thread bites deep into the rubber to increase surface contact and ensure strong retention. This design keeps the studs firmly in place without the need for glue or adhesives.
What type of tires can they be used on?
Model 1100 works with motorcycle street tires that have at least 5.9 mm of tread depth, as well as smaller-profile vehicle tires requiring a shorter stud.
How many studs should I install?
- For motorcycle tires: 100–150 studs per tire.

For vehicle tires: 50–75 studs per tire.
